Free, personalized support for first-time moms, from pregnancy through the baby’s second birthday.
Becoming a mother for the first time is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming, especially when facing economic or social barriers. The Goodwill Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP) program offers free, one-on-one support from a registered nurse who partners with first-time moms starting early in pregnancy and continuing until the child turns two.

This trusted relationship helps moms build confidence, gain practical knowledge about pregnancy and parenting, and create a strong foundation for their family’s future.

Our Mission

What does the program offer?

Regular visits with a registered nurse throughout pregnancy and the first two years of the child’s life

  • Personalized education and resources on maternal health, child development, nutrition, breastfeeding, parenting, and more

  • Emotional and practical support to navigate challenges like stress, life goals, or connecting to community services

  • Stronger family bonds and tools to create a stable, healthy home for the baby

Who is eligible?

The program is available for:

  • First-time moms
    ‍
  • Pregnant and 28 weeks or less
    ‍
  • Meeting income eligibility (such as Medicaid or similar programs)
    ‍
  • Residents of Puerto Rico*
*At the moment, the program is only available in Carolina, San Juan, and Caguas.
